For the second year in a row, the company Dr. Pfleger Pharmaceuticals offered pharmacy students from Würzburg the opportunity to visit their production site in Bamberg.
As part of a student’s day under the motto "Experience practice – meet people working in the pharmaceutical industry", the students were invited to take a closer look to state-of-the-art pharma production in Bamberg.Mehr
Congratulations to Eva for successfully defending her PhD thesis!Mehr
From April 10th - 13th 2018 delegations from the Universities of Soochow and Zhejiang (China) visited us.
Our University, and in particular the Chair for Drug Formulation and Delivery, has been conducting joint research projects with them for several years.
Alexandra Braun & team published an article in the Journal of Controlled Release entitled ‘Bioresponsive release of insulin-like growth factor-I from its PEGylated conjugate’. “PEGylation of protein-ligands, the attachment of polyethylene glycol (PEG) polymers to a therapeutic protein, increases therapeutics’ half-life but frequently comes at the cost of reduced bioactivity. We are now presenting a bioinspired strategy leading out of this dilemma” (copied from article abstract). Congratulations to Alexandra & team!Mehr
The research group led by Professor Meinel enjoyed two wonderful days in the impressive, snowcapped mountains of the “Allgäu”.Mehr
Marcus Gutmann published an article in in ACS Biomaterials & Engineering entitled “Bioorthogonal modification of cell derived matrices by metabolic glycoengineering.” It provides insights into the modification of the glycan structures of extracellular matrix components with implication in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Congratulations to Marcus and Team!Mehr
Staatsministerin Ilse Aigner überreicht Dr. Christoph Steiger, Cornelius Hermann, Chris Hopper und Prof. Meinel den Medical Valley Award in Erlangen.
