Congratulations particularly to our cooperation partners Jakob Wollborn, Christoph Steiger and Ulrich Göbel for a contribution on the protective effects of carbon monoxide on cardiac tissue and haemodynamics following cardiac arrest. They provide a practical approach for CO delivery within conventional extracorporeal resuscitation settings and demonstrated favorable outcome in a pig model of cardiac arrest.

Johannes Wiest published an article in ‘Molecular Pharmaceutics’ entitled “Geometrical and structural dynamics of Imatinib within biorelevant colloids." The article details the solubilization of Imatinib in simulated gastrointestinal fluids at the molecular levels. The article provides a blueprint for further studies aiming at improving bioavailability of poorly water-soluble drugs by effectively deploying the natural micelle dynamics while maximizing bioavailability.

    Congratulations to Johannes & team!
