The dissertation of Alexandra Braun was awarded excellent by the Lower Franconian “Gedenkjahrstiftung” for Science and the University of Würzburg.
MehrCongratulations particularly to our cooperation partners Jakob Wollborn, Christoph Steiger and Ulrich Göbel for a contribution on the protective effects of carbon monoxide on cardiac tissue and haemodynamics following cardiac arrest. They provide a practical approach for CO delivery within conventional extracorporeal resuscitation settings and demonstrated favorable outcome in a pig model of cardiac arrest.
MehrSlamming this topic, Tobias Miesler participated at the 2nd Science Slam at the 7th Annual Meeting of the House of Pharma in Frankfurt. After public voting by the audience, he was rewarded with the 3rd place, including 1000 € prize money. Congratulations!
MehrJohannes Wiest published an article in ‘Molecular Pharmaceutics’ entitled “Geometrical and structural dynamics of Imatinib within biorelevant colloids." The article details the solubilization of Imatinib in simulated gastrointestinal fluids at the molecular levels. The article provides a blueprint for further studies aiming at improving bioavailability of poorly water-soluble drugs by effectively deploying the natural micelle dynamics while maximizing bioavailability.
Congratulations to Johannes & team!
